Save 25% on select partner economy class flights with Emirates Skywards

Earlier this week, Emirates Skywards launched an award ticket sale for economy class flights on select partner airlines, including United Airlines. Emirates isn’t often your best option for booking its partners, but in some cases this could be a decent deal if you can book by August 9th. The DealEmirates Skywards is offering an award sale whereby you can get 25% off partner economy-class awards on select airlines when you book by August 9, 2026. The following airline partners qualify:Aegean AirlinesAir CanadaAir MauritiusAzulBangkok Airways *excluding Bangkok (BKK) to/from Koh Samui (USM)CondorCopa AirlinesGaruda IndonesiaGOLJapan AirlinesJetstar AirwaysKorean AirMalaysia AirlinesOlympic AirQantas AirwaysSouth African AirwaysTAP Air PortugalUnited AirlinesDirect link to this dealSearch for partner awards hereBe sure to slide the toggle to book classic rewards and then choose “partners” out of the drop-down instead of Emirates:Key TermsThis offer is valid for reward bookings made between July 24, 2026 and August 9, 2026 (based on the ‘Date of issue’ on the e‑ticket receipt). To redeem Skywards Miles, members need to log in with Emirates Skywards membership credentials. The airline partner reduced reward offer is only available for Economy Class rewards. The offer is applicable on eligible flights marketed and operated by: Aegean Airlines, Air Canada, Air Mauritius, Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras, Bangkok Airways *(excluding BKK to USM and USM to BKK), Condor Flugdienst GmbH, Copa Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes, Japan Airlines, Jetstar Airways, Korean Air, Malaysia Airlines, Olympic Air, Qantas Airways, South African Airways, TAP Air Portugal, and United Airlines . This offer is only applicable to new bookings. In the event of an existing reward flight booking, should the member wish to cancel and rebook under this offer, such cancellation and rebooking will be subject to the Emirates Skywards Terms & Conditions , and applicable cancellation fees will apply. The reduced Miles price shall not be applicable to reissued tickets or to modifications made to tickets outside the designated booking or travel period. In such instances, additional miles will be charged to account for the difference between the reduced mileage rate and the standard mileage rate. Availability is subject to the terms and conditions of the airline partner listed above, which may be amended at their discretion. Taxes, fees, and fuel surcharges are excluded from the reduced Miles price and must be paid in full. The reduced reward tickets issued under this offer cannot be combined with other flight rewards. Emirates reserves the right to change the terms and conditions without prior notice. Quick ThoughtsEmirates uses distance-based awards. Earlier this year,it updated its partner award charts, in the process making short-distance flights less expensive on many carriers. United and Air Canada weren’t among them, unfortunately. Pricing for both carriers is governed by the following chart (amounts shown are without the economy sale applied):Distance (miles)EconomyBusiness0–2508,00017,500251–5008,00025,000501–1,00012,00035,0001,001–2,00018,00050,0002,001–3,00022,00065,0003,001–4,00026,00077,5004,001–5,00032,00092,5005,001–6,00038,000105,0006,001–7,00044,000125,0007,001–15,00054,000145,000Many of the award rates aren’t terribly exciting, but you can certainly score some reasonably-priced award tickets in certain situations. For instance, you’ll find some short-distance United economy class flights for just 6,000 miles and $5. 60 one-way, like these options from Salt Lake City to Denver. That certainly beats the 10,600 miles that United is charging for the same flights. Note that you can use the flexible date search to look for up to a week at a time by checking the box for “+/- 3 days” on the calendar:While it isn’t a completely failsafe method, we used Seats. aero and searched for North America to North America via Air Canada Aeroplan to find a United flight that was available to Air Canada in the hopes that it would also be available to other partners like Emirates. That might not work in all cases because Air Canada Aeroplan might have expanded access to some United award space.
