FNB appoints Von Luttichau to lead private banking

FNB Namibia has appointed Colaindunn von Luttichau as Head of Private Clients and Private Wealth, effective 1 June 2026, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to delivering exceptional banking, lending and advisory solutions to affluent clients across Namibia. The appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the private banking industry, as the expectations of affluent clients continue to evolve. Today’s clients require far more than traditional banking services. They are seeking trusted strategic partners who can help them navigate increasingly complex financial landscapes, preserve and grow wealth across generations, access tailored financing solutions and achieve long-term financial objectives in a rapidly changing world. As private banking becomes increasingly advice-led, strong leadership has emerged as a critical differentiator. Success in this environment depends on the ability to combine deep client relationships with specialist expertise, disciplined risk management and a holistic understanding of the interconnected financial needs of individuals, families and businesses. Von Luttichau has built an extensive career in banking and financial services, with experience spanning corporate banking, credit, structured lending, business strategy and client relationship management. Prior to her appointment, she served as Head of Premium Growth at FNB Namibia, where she was responsible for driving strategic growth and value creation across the Premium segment. In this role, she led initiatives focused on client acquisition, portfolio growth, specialised lending, customer retention and the optimisation of client value across the Platinum, Private Clients and Private Wealth portfolios. Her career includes senior leadership roles in credit and corporate banking, providing her with a distinctive combination of commercial, relationship management, lending and risk expertise. This breadth of experience positions her well to lead a private banking business where success increasingly depends on balancing personalised client engagement with sound financial stewardship and strategic growth. Von Luttichau assumes leadership of a business that has established itself as one of Namibia’s leading private banking franchises. In recent years, FNB Namibia’s Private Clients and Private Wealth business has received multiple international accolades, including recognition from Euromoney as Namibia’s Best International Private Bank, reflecting the strength of its client proposition, advisory capabilities, digital innovation and specialist expertise. As Namibia’s affluent segments continue to grow, FNB Namibia remains focused on strengthening its ability to meet increasingly diverse client needs through specialist expertise, tailored solutions and a relationship-led approach. Under von Luttichau’s leadership, the Private Clients and Private Wealth businesses will continue to build on this foundation while expanding the value they deliver to clients across every stage of their financial journey. Alna Booysen, Head of Consumer and Premium at FNB Namibia, said the appointment reflects the bank’s commitment to ensuring its private banking business remains well positioned to meet the evolving needs of clients. “Our Private Clients and Private Wealth businesses have built a strong reputation for delivering specialised advice and tailored financial solutions to some of Namibia’s most successful individuals, families and entrepreneurs. Von Luttichau’s broad banking experience and strategic perspective position her well to build on that momentum and lead the business through its next phase of growth. ”Commenting on her appointment, von Luttichau said she is excited by the opportunity to support a growing segment of Namibians who are building businesses, creating wealth and shaping the country’s economic future. “Namibia is home to a growing generation of entrepreneurs, wealth creators and business leaders. As their financial needs become increasingly sophisticated, there is a significant opportunity for private banking to deliver more integrated advice and solutions that support long-term growth, business success and wealth preservation. I look forward to building on the strong foundations of the business and working alongside our clients as they pursue their ambitions. ”–[email protected]
