BAD NEWS FOR REPUBLICANS: NEW POLL SAYS AMERICANS BELIEVE DEMOCRATS WOULD DO BETTER WITH THE ECONOMY - Trends Journal

A newly released Ipsos/Reuters poll found that 33 percent of respondents said they believe Democrats would do a better job with the economy than Republicans, which is problematic for the GOP as the November midterm elections loom. The survey was conducted from 29 July to 3 August. Thirty-one percent of those polled said they believe Republicans would be better stewards for the economy. President Donald Trump was interviewed by Punchbowl News last week and he said American voters were angry with Republicans but believed they are satisfied with him. Trump said the concern for Republicans heading into the midterms is whether their voters will head to the polling stations. “The question is, will they vote? Because a lot of them are very angry at Republicans, to be honest with you. They’re not angry at me, but they are angry at Republicans,” he said. Trump posted on Truth Social earlier last week that his “REAL Polling Numbers, not those made up by the Fake News Media, are the best they have ever been. ”“Don’t believe the Radical Left’s Fake Poll Numbers. They are Crooked and Corrupt, just like the Country Destroying Dumocrats are Crooked and Corrupt. VOTE REPUBLICAN FOR GREATNESS IN AMERICA,” Trump posted. Time, citing aNew York Times/Sienapoll from May, reported that about 64 percent of registered voters say they are dissatisfied with the Republican Party. The survey found that there is a split emerging among Republicans about the direction of the party. About 55 percent said they want the party’s next standard-bearer to be a lot like Trump, while 37 percent said they want to see a fresh candidate. The newly released Ipsos/Reuters poll found that Trump’s overall approval rating was at 35 percent, with 65 percent of respondents saying they disapprove of his job performance. The survey found that 63 percent said they disapproved of the president’s handling of the economy, while 70 percent said they disapproved of his approach to inflation and the cost of living, according toUSA Today. TRENDPOST:Gerald Celente often repeats what James Carville, the Democratic strategist, is famous for saying, “It’s the economy, stupid. ” (See“THE TRUMP HUSTLE: DISTRACTION, DECEPTION AND THE HEIST OF THE AMERICAN ECONOMY”(12 May 2026),“TRUMP SEES MORE PROBLEMS AT POLLS AS CONCERNS OVER THE ECONOMY MOUNT”(9 Dec 2025),“TRUMP DOWNPLAYS THE WORD ‘AFFORDABILITY’ AS A MADE-UP WORD TO HURT HIM POLITICALLY”(28 Jul 2026), and“TRUMP SAYS HE WANTS TO BAN BIG INVESTORS FROM BUYING UP HOMES BECAUSE OF AFFORDABILITY”(13 Jan 2026). Kristen Soltis Anderson, a Republican pollster, told CNN on Sunday that Trump’s claim that Republican voters are upset with other GOP lawmakers and not him does not hold water, according to the data. “Those numbers indicate quite a bit of anger,” she said, referring to recent polls on Trump’s approval. “Thirty percent approval of the economy is extraordinarily poor. And it’s very poor for Donald Trump. ”She continued: “He’s had two years. And if his message was, ‘We get it, we haven’t made enough progress, but let’s keep the faith. ” We’re going to keep trying to work,’ I don’t know that that would stave off really bad losses in the midterms, but it would be much better than this, like, ‘La la la. Everything’s fine. And if it’s not fine, someone else did it. ’ That’s a terrible message. ”The Daily Beast noted that Trump said in a recent interview that people are saying that he is one of the “greatest presidents ever. ”The report noted that CNN ran a poll in late July that gave Trump a 30 percent approval rating, and a 28 percent rating for his handling of Iran. But as our cover showedlast week, have no fear, because: “When all else fails, they take you to war. ”And regardless of which party gets into power, neither will boost up the economy and the plantation workers of Slavelandia will continue to pay the price. aug 11 2026,Politics,United States
